Perfectionism R.I.P. (Rest in Provence)

Brief: This is my second project from the Creative Experience SCAD Study Abroad. Alongside the winery rebrand, Domaine, I was quietly bringing my observations to life through little drawings and taglines for fun. We had the freedom to do whatever we pleased with this notebook. I took mine digital and added an advertising flare plus some collaging style. Additionally, there are singular idiosyncrasies of France that caught my eye and that lived better on “paper” alone. Be sure to read my “Reflexion Conclusion” at the end of the sketches to hear about my inner and outer reflection throughout the entire trip!

Trip Takeaway: When you are worried to go on a trip with 60 strangers, do it, you will make lifelong friends in new places. When you have never sketched in your life, try it, and maybe name it “Baby’s First Sketchbook” like me and give your professors a laugh. When the world is in chaos, take a calculated risk and embrace it. When you aren’t sure what you want to do with your life, go try and find it. When you have an opportunity to lead a team of multi-majored and aged creative geniuses, learn from them just as much or more!
